Clementine Chop!

How to play

Treats are tossed up from the bottom of the screen. Swipe across them to slice them in half before they fall back down. Clementines, apples and gingerbread hearts are worth 1 point, marzipan pigs are worth 2, and frozen clementines need two chops but give 3. A golden clementine gives 10 points and starts FROST TIME, a short slow-motion moment where everything floats down gently. Chop three or more treats in one swipe for a fruit combo bonus. You have three hearts. You lose one if you chop a lutefisk, the smelly fish with the green glow, and you lose one if you let a treat drop without chopping it. The game gets faster every 30 seconds. Your total chops unlock six blade trails, from the Frost Blade and Candy Cane to Northern Lights, Gingerbread Crumbs, Golden Tinsel and Mulled Berry.

Controls

• Phone/tablet: Swipe your finger across the screen to chop.
• Desktop: Hold the mouse button and drag across the treats to chop. Press Space or Enter on the title screen to start.
• Press Esc or P to pause. Use the sound button to mute the music.

Tips

1. Wait for treats to reach the top of their flight. They slow down there, and that is the easiest moment to catch several in one swipe.
2. Keep your swipes short when a lutefisk is on screen and steer around it instead of making one big slash.
3. Go for frozen clementines with two quick swipes before they fall.
4. Save a golden clementine for a busy moment if you can, because FROST TIME makes big combos much easier.
5. A dropped treat costs a heart just like the lutefisk, so do not ignore the stragglers at the edges of the screen.
