About the game
Kraken Gulp!
Kraken Gulp! is an eat and grow arcade game set in the Norwegian fjords. You start as a tiny, hungry kraken and race the clock to gulp everything smaller than you. Fish, ducks and crabs come first, then sheep, rowboats and vikings, then fishing cabins, longships, lighthouses and whales, and finally the boss of each fjord, from a stave church and a ferry to the Jarl’s dragon ship, Bergenhus castle and the troll mountain itself. Rival krakens like Nøkken, Hafgufa and Lyngbakr hunt the same snacks, so outgrow them before they gulp you. Play five fjords, from Little Harbor to Ragnarök Fjord, try the Daily Fjord and spend your gold on upgrades and kraken skins.
How to play
- Drag on the screen, move the mouse or use the arrow keys or WASD to steer your kraken.
- Swim into anything smaller than you to gulp it and grow bigger.
- Stay away from bigger rival krakens. If one gulps you, you respawn smaller.
- Gulp as much of the town as you can before the timer runs out.
- Gulp 25% of the town for one star, 50% for two stars and eat the boss for three stars.
Tips
- Gulping several things in a row builds a combo.
- Grow on small snacks first, then go after boats, houses and bigger targets.
- Once you are bigger than a rival kraken, you can eat it too.
- Get at least one star in a fjord to unlock the next one.
- Spend gold on upgrades like Bigger Start, Swift Tentacles, Long Night and Whirlpool, or on new skins.
- The Daily Fjord is a new challenge every day.
