About the game
Cliff Drift
Cliff Drift is a cozy one-button driving game set on a winding road high above a Norwegian fjord. You steer a little red station wagon with skis on the roof past glowing cabins, snowy pine trees and the northern lights. The road never ends, the curves keep getting sharper and your speed keeps rising. How far can you drive before you slide off the edge and splash into the cold water below?
How to play
Your car always drifts in one of two directions. Hold to drift left and let go to drift right. Stay on the asphalt and follow the curves for as long as you can. Your distance is your score, and your best run is saved so you can try to beat it next time. Along the way you can grab cloudberries and earn bonus points by skimming close to the glowing cliff edge for near-miss combos. As you drive, the sky changes from dusk to aurora night, then to dawn and finally a snowy day.
Controls
- Phone/tablet: Press and hold anywhere on the screen to steer left, release to steer right.
- Desktop: Hold the mouse button, Space, A or the Left arrow to steer left, release to steer right.
- Use the pause and sound buttons in the corner at any time.
Tips
- Use short taps instead of long holds. Small corrections keep the car steady on gentle curves.
- Start turning a little before a curve begins, because the car needs a moment to swing around.
- Near-misses pay well, but only if you get back to the middle of the road right away.
- When you are going fast, watch the road further ahead instead of the car.
