Rune Poker
Rune Poker is a Norse poker game where every raid is a battle of cards. Each raid has a target score, and you beat it by playing poker hands before your hands run out. Your score is Chips times Mult, so a Full House or a Flush can crush a target that a lone pair never would. Between raids you visit the Trading Post to recruit Spirits from Norse myth like Odin, Thor and Huginn & Muninn, carve Seidr runes into your cards and level up your favourite hands with Saga stones. Survive 8 antes and their bosses, from Fenrir and Jörmungandr to the final boss, and your saga ends in Valhalla.
How to play
- Tap or click up to 5 cards, then press Play Hand. Your poker hand sets the base Chips and Mult.
- Every scored card adds its rank to Chips. The hand scores Chips times Mult.
- Select weak cards and press Discard to draw new ones. Discards are limited in every raid.
- Each ante has three raids: a Skirmish, a Raid and a Boss that twists the rules.
- Win a raid to earn silver and spend it in the Trading Post on Spirits, runes and pouches.
- Survive all 8 antes to win the saga.
Tips
- Spirits trigger from left to right on every hand, so their order matters. Tap a Spirit to read, move or sell it.
- Save some silver. You earn $1 of interest for every $5 you hold, up to $5 per raid.
- Unused hands pay out silver, so a strong early hand pays off twice.
- Read the boss rule before you raid. Hel weakens Axe cards and Hrungnir takes away your discards.
- Use the Rank and Suit buttons to sort your hand and spot pairs, straights and flushes faster.
- Wins unlock harder Stakes and new decks, and your run is saved in your browser so you can continue later.
