The score needs three things at once: aurora activity, clear sky and darkness. A cloudy night, a quiet night or a bright full moon all pull it down. That is the forecast doing its job, so you do not stand out in the cold for nothing.
Check that notifications are on in iOS Settings for the app, and that "Alert me" is on in the Alerts tab. Alerts are planned on your phone from the latest forecast, so open the app now and then (for example once a day) to keep them up to date. Use "Send a test alert" to check that they show up.
Yes. It works across Sweden, Finland, Iceland and the rest of the Nordics, and anywhere else with your location. The aurora map covers the Nordics and Iceland.
Sometimes the cloud forecast cannot be loaded for a moment. The app then shows the chance if the sky is clear and tries again by itself after a minute.
No. You can pick a town from the list instead. If you share it, it is rounded to about 10 km and never stored. You can change location access in iOS Settings at any time.
The app shows the last forecast it fetched, with the time it was updated.

Tallet trenger tre ting samtidig: nordlysaktivitet, klar himmel og mørke. Skyer, en rolig natt eller sterk fullmåne trekker ned. Da har varselet gjort jobben sin, så du slipper å stå ute i kulda forgjeves.
Sjekk at varsler er slått på for appen i Innstillinger på iPhone, og at "Varsle meg" er på i Varsler-fanen. Varslene planlegges på telefonen ut fra siste varsel, så åpne appen innimellom (for eksempel én gang om dagen). Bruk "Send et testvarsel" for å se at de kommer frem.
Ja. Den virker i Sverige, Finland, Island og resten av Norden, og hvor som helst ellers med posisjonen din. Nordlyskartet dekker Norden og Island.
Av og til kan ikke skyvarselet hentes akkurat da. Appen viser da sjansen hvis det er klart, og prøver igjen av seg selv etter et minutt.
Nei. Du kan velge et sted i lista i stedet. Deler du den, rundes den av til ca. 10 km og lagres ikke. Du kan endre posisjonstilgang i Innstillinger når som helst.
Appen viser siste varsel den hentet, med tidspunktet det ble oppdatert.
